BSides CHS 2020 Cancellation Note

 To our amazing volunteers, sponsors, speakers, and attendees,

We are sad to say we will be canceling the 2020 BSides Charleston event. 2020 has been a tough year for all of us. For the past eight years, BSides Charleston has been working toward its mission of building the information security community and knowledge base in the Low Country. Our scrappy 501c3 has pulled together a fantastic support system that allows us to make sure EVERYONE in the Low Country can learn and expose themselves to cybersecurity, safely. Unfortunately, with the concerns over COVID-19 and the uncertainty around this pandemic, we can't ensure our community members' safety. For this reason, we will not have an in-person event this year for BSides Charleston. 

We evaluated whether we should prepare a virtual event instead of a physical conference; however, after surveying the inspiringly large amount of free virtual events in our field we decided to concentrate our efforts on supporting and promoting the many awesome events being organized. BSides Charleston will be back in 2021, and we look forward to seeing everyone again, healthy, and safe. Until then, stay safe, healthy, and curious!
